Caroline Harnly (“Gator Girl”)

Caroline Harnly (“Gator Girl”) joined Low Ding Zone in May 2011. She has been ringing handbells for thirty-five years and has been ringing handbell solos for approximately twenty years. Caroline is the co-composer of Canzona, an original composition for solo handbells and piano accompaniment. She is also the director of the SFSU (San Francisco State University) Handbell Choir and Bells of Joy (the Community United Methodist Church of Half Moon Bay’s handbell choir). She served as President of the Marching Handbell Choir until they disbanded in 2010. She was a member of Bay Bells for seventeen years and was an original member of the first Bay Bells small ensemble. She also rang for a number of years with Bell Appeal (Bethany United Methodist Church of San Francisco) and the Corson Ringers (Burlingame United Methodist Church). By day, Caroline is the Physical Sciences and Engineering Librarian at San Francisco State University.
