Lisa Arnold (“Ringleader”) has been a ringer for almost her whole life (in utero doesn’t count…), having rung with a number of ensembles across the United States, originally with the Wesley Bell Ringers of Salt Lake City, Utah, and most recently with Bay Bells of Palo Alto, California. She is a founding member of Low Ding Zone, the World’s First Bass-only Handbell Ensemble, and has been responsible for many of the bizarre happenings characteristic of the group.
She also encourages the development of the art by supporting the creation of new arrangements for bells, notably George Gershwin’s “Somebody Loves Me”, Jerome Moross’ “The Big Country”, Ernesto Lecuona’s “Malagueña”, and Whitfield and Strong’s “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”.
She goes wherever bells and work take her, but only as long as good ice cream is available.
