Larry has the privilege of conducting at the LA Metro Spring Ring in Long Beach, so we take advantage of the opportunity as Debbie Shaw, the event organizer, schedules us to ring a concert the day after. The scheduling is a bit difficult because we have to schlep a significant amount of equipment from Palo Alto to Long Beach in addition to flying JC down to work around his school schedule. Then, the day before the concert, he picks up a nasty flu bug, and we end up pressing Debbie and her daughter Shannon into service as subs. The concert goes off reasonably well! |

A new season begins… with just Carol, Julie, and Larry! We begin working on bass trio arrangements of Go Tell It on the Mountain and By the Light of the Silvery Moon |

Things begin looking up. Caroline, eager for a new challenge, joins us. Elizabeth Parker, the handbell director at Los Altos Christian School, recommends Seiji, one of her graduting students, to us. We’re back to five! |
